Meet Rachel Yocum

Owner of Ducklings Early Learning Center – Elverson, PA

Rachel Yocum has spent more than 15 years pouring her heart into early childhood education and she wouldn’t have it any other way! A graduate of Penn State University with a degree in Elementary and Kindergarten Education, Rachel joined the Ducklings family in 2021 as the East Goshen Director, and now she’s thrilled to spread her wings even further as the proud Owner of Ducklings Elverson!

For Rachel, Ducklings has always been close to home – literally! Her two daughters are Ducklings graduates themselves, growing, learning, and making memories right alongside their mom in East Goshen. Some of her favorite moments have come from watching her own girls thrive in the very program she loves so deeply.

After settling into the welcoming Twin Valley community in 2025, Rachel and her family are beyond excited to bring the magic of Ducklings to Elverson! With her nurturing heart and hands-on experience, she can’t wait to give local families a warm, individualized early learning experience; one that helps every child fall in love with learning, one giggle and “aha!” moment at a time.

Duckling’s realistic approach to childhood is sometimes noisy, often messy, but always fun!

Nothing but great things to say about Ducklings! We love that all the teachers (not just his direct teacher!) know his name and there seems to be a true team mentality to the staff – always helping each other out and bouncing around to make sure coverage is met. They are always coming up with fun themes and activities to teach & entertain and he is always happy and smiling when we pick him up!

My daughters started at Ducklings right after we moved into a new home and enrolled them in a new school—both within days of each other. As you can imagine, it was a big adjustment, but the admin team and teaching staff made the transition feel seamless. By the second day, EVERYONE knew their names and greeted them as we walked in. Their teachers work so hard to plan creative, thematic activities every single day that my girls truly love and learn from. The admin team communicates wonderfully, always organizing fun events for the school, and keeping the environment fresh and exciting with new decorations each month. We couldn’t be happier with the care, education, and attention our girls receive the moment they walk through the door!

Both of our daughters have been going to Ducklings for about 6 months now and we can’t say enough great things! The teachers they have had so far have been wonderful and they truly care about the kids. Our girls have both benefited in various ways from being there. Thank you, Ducklings!

We love the Ducklings school, the teachers and faculty are so hands on and our kids enjoy going into class each day. They are great with organizing events and in-school projects with the kids (we love the artwork our kids bring home each day!) I would recommend.
